While you are on holiday in Tanzania we appreciate that you may well wish to look for activities to keep you energised, which is why we have produced this page on things to do in Dar es Salaam.

Starting in our Hotel:

  • Our Gym – On the second floor of our hotel, with windows overlooking the city, we have a well-equipped modern gym that offers any guest the opportunity to exercise free of charge from 6am to 10pm every day of the week. You will find all the fitness equipment and free weights that you could need for a good healthy workout.
  • Spa Treatments – Also we offer massage and beauty treatments – manicures, pedicures, eyebrow tinting, and so on – for those looking for less energetic ways to sculpt their appearance and de-stress after a long day.
  • Our Plunge Pool – More for relaxing than practising your Olympic lengths in, the plunge pool on the third floor of our hotel, surrounded by sunloungers and waiters keen to serve you from our bar, could make your holiday in Tanzania all the more revitalising.

Outside of our Hotel:

  • Gymkhana Golf Course – What would your holiday in Tanzania be without a round of golf in the oldest course in Dar es Salaam, open to members and guests alike? Gymkhana Golf Course is just 500 metres from our hotel and also offers 14 hard tennis courts and several squash courts for those looking for more invigorating things to do in Dar es Salaam.
  • Jangwani Beach – Whether you are looking to relax on the lush warm sands of Jangwani Beach or are interested in more energetic pursuits such as snorkelling, diving or water sports, this beach, just 45 minutes outside of Dar es Salaam, offers it all.
  • Selous Game Reserve – When in Africa it would be wrong to pass up the opportunity to go on safari to see all that this wonderful country has to offer. The Selous Game Reserve in the south of Tanzania is one of the finest wildlife reserves in the world and covers an area of over 21,000 square miles. This activity may be a little further afield than the others, but it is a must for your list of things to do on your holiday in Tanzania.
